| Mrs. Kim Shaak Panjwani is a native of Denver, Colorado and has lived in Mumbai for more than eight years.
She is an interculturalist and works as the Director of Training for Pharos International, a company
specialising in intercultural and people dimensions of business globalisation. She has more than 20 years’
experience in the field of corporate intercultural training and consulting with multinational organizations.
Her interests include the development of intercultural business skills and leadership competencies for the
global workforce. She is also a personal development coach. |

She is also the Director for EpitomeGlobal Services (“Epitome”) which is an intelligent outsourcing
firm, providing the following services to asset managers and capital markets: middle and back
office, investment research and analytics, hedge fund administration, offshore and technology
consulting, consulting/advisory.
Epitome was founded in November 2005 by Kim's husband Raju Panjwani, a former Managing director
at Morgan Stanley, New York.
Ms. Shaak Panjwani worked as Director of Intercultural Programs for Prudential Relocation in Colorado
and New York City. After moving to Mumbai, she joined
Price Waterhouse USAID Financial Institutional Reform and Expansion Project (FIRE) project, as their
Director of Training where she worked with members of SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India),
the NSE (National Stock Exchange) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange). She co-founded of Lifestyle
Adjustments, a boutique consulting firm based in Mumbai to assist international business executives and
their families in adjusting to life and work in the complex Indian environment.
Kim has her BA in Intercultural Communication from the University of Colorado, Boulder and her MA at
New York University (NYU). She has completed the coursework for PhD at Columbia University. She
taught Cross-Cultural Communication at New York University and has written an Introduction to
Mumbai for Business travelers and Expatriates and articles about Children Expatriates.
She has been a member of Indus International since 1995 ,and an active member of their choir. She is
also a member of the Columbia Club in Mumbai and the American Women's Club. In collaboration with
Room-to-Read, she and her family and friends created the Lankagama Adharsha Kanishta Vidyalaya
Library in Sri Lanka in memory of the survivors of the Asian Tsunami of 2004.
Kim is married to Raju Panjwani, Chairman and Managing Director of Omega Capital, Chairman of
AMSEC and Founder and Chairman of Epitome Global Services. They live in Mumbai with two of their
children Rohan and Rahul. |
