"Lunch to Build" event organised by Women IndiaBUILDS team of Habitat for Humanity a fund raiser event to promote the cause of poverty housing in India. This special lunch was hosted by the WIB brand ambassador Mrs. Avanti Birla at her residence on the 4th April,08. The event was attended by 80 to 100 high net worth individuals including celeberities viz: Juhi Chawla, Padmini Kolhapuri, Poonam Dillon, Raveena Tandon and many more and wives of the corporates including Mrs. Tina Ambani,Mrs Thackeray, Mrs. Elina Meswani etc.
The Women IndiaBUILDS (WIB) team of Habitat for Humanity is a team of committed women raising resources for Habitat for Humanity. The WIB Team is comprises of ladies from the High Networth Individuals group of the society. Led by Ms. Avanti Birla, who is the HFH-WIB Brand Ambassador, this group inspires people from various walks of life to donate to Habitat for Humanity besides contributing personally. The Objective of the Women IndiaBUILDS is to support 1000 Women beneficiaries over the next five years and as part of the process,Women IndiaBUILDS team has taken up the first WIB supported project of building 100 homes for a tribal community in Karjat in Maharashtra State, India which is under progress. |
